  1. Never call yourself "too old."

  2. Don't let ageism define you.

  3. Keep learning: tech, tools, and trends don't wait for anyone.

  4. Always look for teachers and coaches.

  5. Don't stop traveling... or start traveling.

  6. Stay relevant by sharing your experience and wisdom. They're a gift.

  7. Never stop asking: What else can I do?

  8. Check yourself and your thinking regularly.

  9. Don't be invisible. Speak up, show up, engage.

  10. Keep company with those who encourage you, not just comfort you.

  11. Always be moving forward. Fight the "fuddy duddy" effect.

  12. Don't confuse comfort with living.

  13. If you're not done, you're not done.

After 50, thriving isn't just about aging well; it's about embracing a new perspective and establishing your philosophy for aging.

It's about living well in all aspects: emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

It's about learning, growing, and developing the personal agency and autonomy that create freedom.

That's what inspired my "13 Rules for Thriving After 50." (#3 and 4 changed everything for me.)

Learning new tools and finding great teachers helped me earn project-based income online using the skills I already had.

Learning gave me agency, which led to autonomy, which created the freedom to travel and move abroad.

THERE IS NO FREEDOM WITHOUT THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY OF GAINING AGENCY AND AUTONOMY.

FREEDOM IS THE AFTER-EFFECT OF THESE TWO.

Personal Agency ➡️ Autonomy ➡️ Freedom
