A Short Checklist for Heading into 2026

Here’s a short checklist worth your time:

☐ Clarify what you already know how to do well (not your job title)

☐ Strengthen skills that can travel with you — literally and figuratively

☐ Reduce dependence on a single income source

☐ Get more comfortable with how work is changing and how hiring actually happens

And my top recommendation:

☐ Build options before you need them

I’m talking with people who are already at the point of needing income now—asking how quickly they can replace what they’ve lost. That’s a hard place to start.

Building clarity earlier reduces risk and increases confidence and steadiness over time.
