It’s About Getting on the Board

Hi!

When most people start thinking about earning online, they do something understandable…

They think in terms of job titles:

"I was a manager." "I worked in HR." "I ran a business."

But here's the truth: Job titles don't get you hired online.

Skills do.

Skills are the foundation of everything we do—at work, at home, in relationships.

From parenting to project management, from writing emails to organizing a fundraiser,

you've already built a skill set.

The key is learning to see those actions as skills, not roles.

And when it comes to earning online, your first step isn't about figuring out a forever plan.

It's about picking one skill (or set of skills) to get you started.

Think of it like a gameboard.

🎲 You can't play the game until your token is on the first square of the board.

That first skill is your token. It's how you enter the game.

Once you're on the board, you can try new things, change direction, or stack more skills over time.

But nothing happens until you start.

A few other ways to think about it:

💡Learning to drive — You start by putting the car in reverse and getting out of the driveway before getting on the road, and then the freeway.

💡Cooking — You start with a basic recipe, then learned how to experiment.

💡Parenting — You learn from day one while doing it.

Same with earning online.

You don't have to wait until everything's figured out.

You choose a starting skill that you enjoy—or are simply good at—and let that be your way in.

Curious what might work best for you?

Let's chat about what your "get-on-the-board" skill set could be.

With loads of encouragement,

Jeanne 🌺
